Solved/Sleeping
Fall 2015, Purdue University

A 20 minute ensemble-devised work delving into the experiences of Betty Holberton and Betty Jennings Bartik as they programmed the first computer. We specifically examined the night of Valentine's Day, 1946, as the women completed their preparations for a press event the following morning. The production featured live manipulation of sound, including original compositons for the theremin.
